Twelve-year old Aoyagi Ritsuka lost his only kin when his brother, Aoyagi Seimei, was killed under mysterious circumstances. One day, he meets Agatsuma Soubi, who claims to know his brother. It turns out that Soubi and Seimei used to be a fighting pair, whereby Soubi was the "Fighter" and Seimei was the "Sacrifice". Now that Seimei is gone, Soubi `belongs` to Ritsuka who will become his new "Sacrifice". After learning that Seimei was killed by an organisation known as the "Nanatsu no Tsuki", Ritsuka decides to join forces with Soubi and investigate the truth behind his brother`s death.

Renton Thurston is the fourteen-year-old son of Adrock Thurston, a military researcher who died saving the world. He lives what he considers a boring life with his mechanic grandfather in a boring town. He loves lifting, the sport of riding atmospheric trapar particles with a board, and dreams of joining the crew of the renegade Gekkostate and its leader, the legendary lifter Holland.

Such an opportunity literally falls into his lap when a special LFO, called Nirvash, and a member of Gekkostate crash into Renton's room, which is right next to his grandpa's garage. Thanks in part to his use of his father's Amita Drive to power up the Nirvash in a crucial fight, Renton is invited to join Gekkostate, where he quickly discovers that the behind-the-scenes life of Gekkostate is hardly as glamorous or as interesting as he imagined. Only one thing makes it all worthwhile for him: the presence of Eureka, the mysterious and rather cute girl who pilots Nirvash.

The story revolves around Renton's budding relationship with Eureka, the female pilot of the LFO Nirvash typeZERO, and the mystery of the Coralians.

Much of the damage attributed to "Vash" is caused by the activities of the bounty hunters who are after the $$60,000,000,000 reward on Vash's head for the destruction of a city called July. Vash does not clearly remember the destruction of July, and only wants "love and peace", as he puts it; though he is a gunfighter of inhuman skill, he uses his weapons only to save lives wherever he can.

As the series progresses, more is gradually learned about Vash's mysterious history and the history of human civilization on Gunsmoke, the alien desert planet the series is set on. The series is often humorous in tone, but at the same time it involves very serious character development and especially in later episodes it becomes quite emotionally intense. Vash is occasionally joined by the preacher Nicholas D. Wolfwood, who is almost as good a gunfighter as Vash himself, and later is targeted by a band of assassins known as the Gung-Ho Guns for reasons which are mysterious at first.

Trigun evolves into a very serious discussion of the nature of morality, posing questions such as: What is the nature of morality? Can we judge different moral codes? If a person is forced to betray their moral code, does that betrayal invalidate that moral code, and can the person still try to live up to that moral code? Can the person find redemption from their wrongs, and if so, how?

Furi Kuri?, sometimes romanized as Fooly Cooly) is a six episode Japanese animation OVA series, the brainchild of director Kazuya Tsurumaki and released by Gainax and Production I.G..

The series focuses on Nandaba Naota, a twelve-year-old boy living in the fictional and initially tranquil Japanese suburb of Mabase. Naota lives with his lecherous father Kamon and his baseball-coaching grandfather Shigekuni at the family bakery and home. He greatly admires his older brother Tasuku, a baseball phenomenon who has gone to the United States to play the game (an unseen character). Naota's daily routine involves going to school, dealing with his brother's sexually frustrated high school girlfriend Samejima Mamimi, and going home. Naota seems to be very frustrated with his life, and in the opening episode is musing about how constrictive and boring Mabase is. This complaint is borne through to the final episode, against examples to the contrary. Naota's life is turned upside down when he is hit by a Vespa driven by the rebellious free spirit known as Haruhara Haruko, a woman who later becomes his housekeeper, though she may not be what she appears to be.

The animation is based off of the SNES game (later ported to GBA).

Tales of Phantasia begins by showing a heroic battle between four unknown warriors against an evil sorcerer, Dhaos, whose outcome changed the fate of the world. The warriors were victorious, but Dhaos escapes through time. Though, four new heroes are waiting and seal the weakened Dhaos away using the power of two pendants, thus returning peace to the world.

The adventure begins in the town of Toltus ten years after the sealing, where a young swordsman named Cless Alvein (translated as Cress Albane in the GBA localization) and his best friend, archer Chester Barklight, live. The town is destroyed by a dark knight named Mars (Malice in the DeJap translation) and his soldiers while Cless and Chester are out hunting in the forest. Every villager is killed in the attack, including Chester's sister and both of Cless' parents. While Chester is in mourning, Cless vows for revenge and proceeds to the town of Euclid in search of the dark knight.

Unfortunately, he is betrayed there by his cowardly uncle and is thrown in jail, captured by Mars. The heirloom pendant entrusted to Cless by his father Miguel is taken away from him, but Cless does not know of its significance in holding Dhaos sealed, nor that his father was one of the four who sealed him away.

Cless meets Mint Adnade (a healer) in the jail, and she joins the party and helps him escape. Soon afterwards, the party meets Chester again at Trinicus (Tornix) D. Morrison's house, another of the four warriors. Trinicus informs the party that he knew Cless's parents and Mint's mother quite well, and they once joined together to seal away a great evil. But he is horrified to hear that Cless' pendant has been stolen, and immediately runs off towards a nearby mausoleum. Cless and party figure out that Mars must be there, and follow Trinicus without him knowing. Unfortunately, Mars manages to release Dhaos using the pendants before Trinicus and party can stop him. With no hope of dealing with the all-powerful Dhaos for now, Trinicus attempts to send Cress, Mint and Chester 100 years in the past, so that they can learn about Dhaos and acquire the skills to defeat him. Dhaos attacks the party with a magic spell, which Chester dives in front of. An injured Chester and Trinicus are left behind to suffer Dhaos' wrath.

In the past, Dhaos is still causing chaos with an imminent war against the two largest human countries - Alvanista and Midgards. These events happened almost a century before he was sealed. In this time period, Dhaos' evil pervades throughout most of the world, and he even controls the prince of Alvanista's royal family. The party learns that the only way to defeat Dhaos is by using magic, but neither Cless nor Mint can practice magic - only Elves and half-Elves can use the powerful magic spells. But they soon meets Klarth F. Lester (translated as Claus F. Lester in the GBA localization) (a summoner) and Arche Klaine (a half-elf witch), who join the quest. Klarth is a researcher of summoning (the act evoking a magical spirit or elemental) - and is thus one of the only humans who can indirectly use magic, by forming a pact with the spirits via rings and then summoning them to attack in battle. He suggests that the spirit Luna may be able to help their quest, and the party travels across the world to the deserts of Freyland, the depths of the ancient dwarven caverns of the Morlia Gallery, and to mountains above and caves below in search of rings and spirits to help them fight Dhaos.

Eventually, the party reaches Midgards and succeeds in helping fend off Dhaos' army in the conflict called the Valhalla War. They continue to Dhaos' castle in search of the fiend, in the hope of restoring peace to the world and avenging the deaths of their loved ones. Reaching the throne room, an epic battle with Dhaos ensues. Unfortunately, Dhaos escapes. Dhaos is down, but not out.

The party travels back to their original time to interrupt the resurrected Dhaos from killing Trinicus and Chester in the mausoleum, and fight him once more. This time, Dhaos is thoroughly defeated, and the cave begins to collapse on itself, and an unconscious Dhaos. The party escapes and then decides that, with Dhaos most-likely dead, they have succeeded and can part ways so that Klarth and Arche can return to their original time. But at that moment, a traveler arrives from the future to inform them that Dhaos is still alive and is terrorizing the future. Cress and company immediately travel forward in time fifty years and have to deal with Dhaos and his minions once and for all.

The saga starts out with Yusuke questioning his own purpose in life. Yusuke had previously killed the rogue spirit detective, Sensui, and has no idea what laid in his future. He’s uncomfortable with the way things are and has gotten restless. He seeks the advice of his mentor, Genkai, who sends him off to see the world’s first spirit detective, Kouroko. While there, he meets three demons under the rule of Raizen, Yusuke’s ancestor, and decides to go back to Makai. Yusuke soon goes there to challenge Lord Raizen, and while there, learns of the conflict between the ruling lords. In Demon World there are three rulers Raizen, Yomi, and Mukuro. They each have an equal share of land and they rule over different variety of demons. Raizen is the strongest of the three, and Yomi is the newest to obtain power. The whole conflict began over the argument of eating humans. Raizen said that they should stop eating them, while the other two disagreed. This lead to centuries of enmity between them.

It's summer break, and Yusuke and Kuwabara are enjoying their time by doing one of their favorite hobbies: getting into gang fights and kicking major butt. However, their vacation is cut short when Botan shows up and tells them that Lord Koenma, Prince of the Spirit World, has been kidnapped. The kidnappers demand the Golden Seal for ransom, a seal that is so powerful, that even King Enma, ruler of the Spirit World, could be overthrown if it's stolen from him. Yusuke, Kuwabara and Botan, along with their friends, have very little time to rescue Koenma, before he'll be thrown into lava. Yusuke can't give away the seal, but he can't let Koenma, the person who brought him back from the dead, be hurt either.
